Court Letters
The Golden Rule: Don't ignore the letters! Answer them quickly or get someone to help you. Ignoring them makes  things much worse.
See the CAB
Creditor Takes you to Court page If you have a letter from the Magistrate's Court then see here.
Parking Fines
The best thing to do is just pay these within 14 days: we have seen £40 parking fines spiral to bailiff demands of nearly £600 when people ignored the ticket.
If you have genuine grounds for believing that the ticket was wrongly issued, fill out the form in the letter, take a copy of it, and send it back within the time limits. If it's out of time, you may be able to get permission to file a late witness statement (forms TE7 and TE9).
